Googleスマホ・タブレット「Pixel」シリーズに2026年8月分のソフトウェア更新を提供開始！
Googleは3日（現地時間）、スマートフォン（スマホ）やタブレットなど向けプラットフォーム「Android」における月次セキュリティーパッチの2026年8月分を告示しています。また同社は4日（現地時間）、これらのセキュリティーパッチを含むソフトウェア更新を「Made by Google」として「Pixel」ブランドのスマホやタブレットにおいて2026年8月分のソフトウェア更新を2026年8月4日（火）より提供開始しており、来週にかけて順次提供されるとのこと。
ソフトウェア更新はネットワーク経由によるアップデート（OTA）が配信開始されているほか、ファクトリーイメージも公開されており、対象となるスマホ「Pixel 10」および「Pixel 10 Pro」、「Pixel 10 Pro XL」、「Pixel 10 Pro Fold」、「Pixel 10a」、「Pixel 9」、「Pixel 9 Pro」、「Pixel 9 Pro XL」、「Pixel 9 Pro Fold」、「Pixel 9a」、「Pixel 8a」、「Pixel 8」、「Pixel 8 Pro」では無料でアップデートを実施できます。
更新後のビルド番号はRoger向けPixel 9シリーズおよびPixel 10シリーズがブランチしていて「CP2A.260805.005.A1」となっており、それ以外の日本を含むグローバルではすべての対象機種で共通して「CP2A.260805.005」とのこと。なお、このソフトウェア更新にはセキュリティーパッチのほか、Pixelスマホ・タブレットのソフトウェア更新には複数の不具合修正や機能改善が含まれており、Pixel 10シリーズにおいて特定の条件下で一部のゲームアプリがクラッシュする問題や特定の条件下でタッチパネルが反応しなくなることがある問題などを修正しているということです。
Pixelシリーズにはセキュリティーパッチや不具合を修正するソフトウェア更新が毎月提供されており、2026月8月分はAndroidおよびAndroid Automotive OS、Android XR、Wear OSのページが公開されていますが、セキュリティーパッチはCVEに登録されている分では現時点ではなく、唯一、PixelのVideo Processing Unitにおける「CVE-2026-0163」のHighが1個あるだけです。その他、セキュリティー更新以外のPixelシリーズにおける更新内容は以下の通り。
