| Googleスマホ・タブレット「Pixel」シリーズに2024年12月分のソフトウェア更新を提供開始！ |
Googleは5日（現地時間）、スマートフォン（スマホ）など向けプラットフォーム「Android」における月次セキュリティーパッチの2024年12月分を告示しています。また合わせて同社が開発・販売するスマホ「Pixel」ブランドのスマホやタブレットにおいて2024年12月分のソフトウェア更新を同日より提供開始しており、来週にかけて順次提供されるとのこと。
ソフトウェア更新はネットワーク経由によるアップデート（OTA）が配信開始されているほか、ファクトリーイメージも公開されており、対象となるタブレット「Pixel Tablet」やスマホ「Pixel 9」および「Pixel 9 Pro」、「Pixel 9 Pro XL」、「Pixel 9 Pro Fold」、「Pixel Fold」、「Pixel 8a」、「Pixel 8」、「Pixel 8 Pro」、「Pixel 7a」、「Pixel 7」、「Pixel 7 Pro」、「Pixel 6a」、「Pixel 6」、「Pixel 6 Pro」では無料でアップデートを実施できます。
更新後のビルド番号はオーストラリアのTelstraにおけるPixel 7以降とEMEA（欧州および中東、アフリカ）におけるPixel 6シリーズではブランチしており、TelstraのPixel 7以降は「AP4A.241205.013.B1」、EMEAのPixel 6シリーズは「AP4A.241205.013.A2」、それ以外の日本を含むグローバルでは各機種ともに「AP4A.241205.013」とのこと。なお、このソフトウェア更新にはセキュリティーパッチのほか、すでに紹介しているようにPixelスマホ・タブレットやスマートウォッチ「Pixel Watch」シリーズ向けの新機能「Pixel Feature Drop」の2024年12月分も含まれています。
その他、Pixelスマホ・タブレットのソフトウェア更新には複数の不具合修正や機能改善が含まれており、すべての対象機種にて特定の状況でロック画面の壁紙がまれにゆっくりとフェードアウトする問題やダークモード設定の安定性の問題、通話通知が表示されるのが遅れる問題、通知の背景色に関する問題が修正されているほか、特定の条件でスワイプ操作を改善しており、さらにPixel 9シリーズでは特定の状況でのBluetooth範囲の問題や壁紙とスタイルで色の選択が繰り返される問題を修正しているなどしています。
Pixelシリーズにはセキュリティーパッチや不具合を修正するソフトウェア更新が毎月提供されており、2024月12分のセキュリティーパッチはCVEに登録されている分では以下の表の通りで、Android向けではCriticalが3個、Highが14個の合計17個、Pixel向けではCriticalが2個、Highが4個、Moderateが8個の合計14個、Wear OS向けではModerateが1個となっています。

その他、セキュリティー更新以外のPixelシリーズにおける更新内容は以下の通り。なお、Pixel 9シリーズなどを販売するソフトバンクでもソフトウェア更新の提供開始をお知らせしており、更新時間は各機種ともに最大20分程度かかる場合があると案内されています。なお、ソフトバンクではソフトウェア更新にかかる通信料は無料ですが、契約時に提供したUSIMカード以外を利用した場合、契約または登録内容と異なる用い方をした場合などに通信料が発生するときがあるのでご注意ください。
