Googleスマホ・タブレット「Pixel」シリーズに2025年3月分のソフトウェア更新を提供開始！
Googleは4日（現地時間）、スマートフォン（スマホ）など向けプラットフォーム「Android」における月次セキュリティーパッチの2025年3月分を告示しています。また合わせて同社が開発・販売するスマホ「Pixel」ブランドのスマホやタブレットにおいて2025年3月分のソフトウェア更新を同日より提供開始しており、来週にかけて順次提供されるとのこと。
ソフトウェア更新はネットワーク経由によるアップデート（OTA）が配信開始されているほか、ファクトリーイメージも公開されており、対象となるタブレット「Pixel Tablet」やスマホ「Pixel 9」および「Pixel 9 Pro」、「Pixel 9 Pro XL」、「Pixel 9 Pro Fold」、「Pixel Fold」、「Pixel 8a」、「Pixel 8」、「Pixel 8 Pro」、「Pixel 7a」、「Pixel 7」、「Pixel 7 Pro」、「Pixel 6a」、「Pixel 6」、「Pixel 6 Pro」では無料でアップデートを実施できます。
更新後のビルド番号は台湾およびEMEA（欧州および中東、アフリカ）のPixel 9シリーズのみブランチしてて「BP1A.250305.020.A2」となっており、それ以外の日本を含むグローバルではPixel Tabletが「BP1A.250305.020.T2」、Pixel 9シリーズが「BP1A.250305.020」、それ以外が「BP1A.250305.019」とのこと。なお、このソフトウェア更新にはセキュリティーパッチのほか、すでに紹介しているようにPixelスマホ・タブレットやスマートウォッチ「Pixel Watch」シリーズ向けの新機能「Pixel Feature Drop」の2025年3月分も含まれています。
その他、Pixelスマホ・タブレットのソフトウェア更新には複数の不具合修正や機能改善が含まれており、すべての対象機種にてWebViewを使用する特定のアプリの安定性またはパフォーマンスの修正、特定の状況でのカメラの安定性の全般的な改善やシステムの安定性とパフォーマンスの全般的な改善、ネットワーク接続の安定性とパフォーマンスの全般的な改善、ロック解除またはアプリの切り替え後にホーム画面のアイコンが透明になる問題の修正、サードパーティー製ランチャーを使用しているときにアプリを切り替える際の問題の修正などが行われているということです。
Pixelシリーズにはセキュリティーパッチや不具合を修正するソフトウェア更新が毎月提供されており、2025月3分のセキュリティーパッチはCVEに登録されている分では以下の表の通りで、Android向けではCriticalが10個、Highが33個、分類なしが1個の合計44個、Pixel向けではCriticalが1個、Highが2個、Moderateが4個の合計7個、Wear OS向けではHighが2個となっています。

その他、セキュリティー更新以外のPixelシリーズにおける更新内容は以下の通り。なお、Pixel 9シリーズなどを販売するソフトバンクでもソフトウェア更新の提供開始をお知らせしており、更新時間は各機種ともに最大20分程度かかる場合があると案内されています。なお、ソフトバンクではソフトウェア更新にかかる通信料は無料ですが、契約時に提供したUSIMカード以外を利用した場合、契約または登録内容と異なる用い方をした場合などに通信料が発生するときがあるのでご注意ください。
